The Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra proudly presents the 14th year of “the tastiest two hours in Ottumwa!” Prepare to experience the creativity and culinary talent of some of the area’s finest chefs and home cooks as they compete for top honors in pre-dining, entrée, and dessert categories.

On June 7 at Bridge View Center, from 11am to 1pm, judges will visit each chef, sample their dish, and provide constructive, positive feedback. Attendees can taste as many dishes as they like and vote for their favorite. Many chefs aspire to win the coveted “People’s Choice Award,” earned by securing the majority of votes from the 350 attendees.

Event highlights include:

  • Ample seating for diners
  • Silent auction featuring exclusively food-related items, including Cuisinart Pizza Oven; Chef’s table for eight, donated by Bridge View Center; Fareway meat bundle; The Cake Ladies!

Many thanks go out to the event sponsors: South Ottumwa Savings Bank, Edward Jones, Indian Hills Community College, Noel Insurance, Richwell Carpet, and Bob & Maggie Morrissey.

Advanced tickets can be purchased for just $20 from any OSO board member or participating chef, at Bridge View Center box office or online Bridge View Center’s website (fees may apply). Tickets will be available at the door for $25.

Don’t miss the Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra’s June 8 Breezin’ outdoor performance during their annual patron favorite Music on the Green on the Marge Dodd Stage. Under the direction of associate director Dave Sharp once again, the group will be joined by jazz guitarist Steve Grismore.
