Ottumwa, IA (July 23, 2026) –
The Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce it’s 2026-2027 Season.
Participation in the Youth Orchestra builds upon the musical instruction students receive through their private lessons and school music programs. The ensemble—under new direction this year by local educator and Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra member Jaymes Winn—provides a unique, full orchestral experience for talented, hard-working musicians in Southeast Iowa and Northeast Missouri. Young musicians may join in September; rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons through May. There is also the opportunity to join the orchestra at the second semester. Once accepted, no student will be excluded from participation in an OSYO ensemble solely due to the inability to pay tuition, as scholarships are available.
